Davies is one of Fargo's newest neighborhoods, on the far south side of the city. It takes its name from Davies High School, which opened in 2011 and is named after Judge Ronald Davies, a key figure in the civil rights movement. The neighborhood is developing mainly with single-family homes, and Eagle Point is one of its larger subdivisions.
New construction
Much of Davies is new construction, so you'll see builder spec homes and open lots alongside resales. New subdivisions usually carry special assessments for streets, water and sewer, so compare the remaining balance on every home you look at, not just the price.
Schools
Davies High School, part of Fargo Public Schools, sits in the neighborhood. Confirm the assigned elementary and middle schools for any address before you buy.
Parks and amenities
The City of Fargo's plans for Davies include a large water retention pond with amenities such as kayaking and fishing.
